with the annual expenses connected with the PHS Alumni pages.

January 27, 2008 - Barney Matheson, Class of 1969 has loaned us his Yearbook for the Class of 1968.

July 17, 2007 - We were pleased to receive the 1937 Yearbook from Elizabeth (Hazelton) Anderson,
Class of 1946, who has donated the Yearbook in memory of her brother Henry from that class.

Some have been sent on already.
But we also realize that most people want their Yearbooks returned.

July 2, 2007 - We have been forced to close the Guest Book due to an invasion of pornographic spammers which we cannot control. Please leave email addresses and messages via the Forums link. You will be required to register. If you experience any difficulties please contact the webmaster. Once you get used to it you will find that the Forums page is more interesting and easier to search than the Guest Book.

May 17, 2007 - Thanks to John Tivnan we now have the Yearbook for the class of 1978 again
and have been able to publish the class pictures.

WhatsNew_JudyKaplan_MediaSpecialist

Thanks Judy

April 30, 2007

April 22, 2007
We’ve done quite a bit of “behind the curtain” work on the site in the hope of making us more
visible to Google and other search engines. We’ve also incorporated the Forums
and Guestbook pages into the regular site navigation sidebars

March 10, 2007 - WOW!! We received a shipment of fourteen (14) Yearbooks from
Judy Kaplan, Library Media Specialist at PHS.
This will fill in many of the gaps, so come back again as
we will be adding more years as our scanning and posting time permits.
Thanks Judy, it was quite a big box!!!!

February 8, 2007 - Tanya has asked that all classmates from 1976 and 1977
please update or sign in the Guest Book with your email address
so that the committee can keep you informed about their upcoming reunion plans

February 8, 2007 - We have been sending out emails to all of you in each class directory.
We find that some addresses are no longer valid.
If you are visiting these pages, please check your email address for current accuracy.
You can update your data by signing the Guest Book or e-mailing the webmaster.

January 25, 2007 - Kudos to Eleanor Lockwood, Class of 1958, who not only provided us with
a copy of her Yearbook, along with Reunion programs,
but she also sent the 1927 book which belonged to her mother
(Edly Lockwood) a long tenured teacher at Oakside school.
Many familiar Peekskill family names are listed.

December 20, 2006 - We have added a new link for the Peekskill High Schools,
showing pictures of
Oakside, Drum Hill, Ringgold and the current High School.
Be sure to check out the
Picture Galleries to see
what is happening to the Ringgold Street School
and also the changes that have taken place in the Drum Hill school
which is now a Senior living establishment.
They are holding a 7th Anniversary Party on Feb. 24, 2007
to which all grads of Drum Hill have been invited.

November 30, 2006 - Mindy Block, (1974) sent us her yearbook. The class pictures have been
scanned and included in the class directory pages.

November 2, 2006 - Ken and Regina Shaw (1949) have supplied us with more pictures of the
phase one demolition of the Ringgold Street High School,
and some really old Peekskill Pictures and snaps from the
2006 Peekskill Day that was held in Jupiter, Fl.

October 28, 2006 ~~John “Cy” Ingersoll (1951) has supplied us with the Yearbooks for 1938 and 1951.
He included some fine pictures. We are making progress!!

September 15, 2006 ~~ Thanks to Phillip Keimig (1953) for his donation of the Yearbooks
of the classes of 1948, 1949 and 1953.

September 10, 2006 ~~ Thanks to Regina (Shutt) Shaw, Class of 1949, we have been able to
add the individual class pictures to site for the years 1948 and 1949.

September 1, 2006 ~~ We have received notice from Joe Deutsch, the well known Peekskill
photographer that his 2007 calendar is now available.
All proceeds are donated to various charities.
Check it out from the link picture Galleries on the left.

August 27, 2006 ~~ Thanks to David Horton, Class of 1954 we were able to add individual photos
of the grads -- classes 1952 and 1954.
Thanks Dave, but there are still many Yearbooks that need to be updated.

June 23, 2006 - Another thank you to Steve Rubenfeld who loaned us his
 Class of 1966 Yearbook and
Christina (Campbell) Brett who loaned us her 1985 Yearbook.
Now if we could just hear from someone in the other Classes of 1980’s
Of course the era of the 1990’s remains a mystery,
maybe they stopped printing Yearbooks!

June 4 - 2006- Thanks to Wendy Percoulis, class of 1987, we now have added the
 Yearbook pictures for that class.

June 1 - 2006 - We appreciate the many suggestions and various emails about obituaries,
reunions, etc. that we have been receiving. We want to continue to hear from you often.
We attempt to make all updates to Class data within a few days, and answer all emails that need a reply.
However, it may happen that something gets missed or done incorrectly.
In which case please send us a reminder as we want to keep all the data current and answer all
emails promptly. The Webmasters want these pages to be regarded as belonging to all alumnis.

May 29 - 2006 - We (Lynn) have incorporated a new feature to the site. Click on the Picture Galleries
to the left and then jump to “2000 All Classes Reunion”
You will then be introduced to our new “slide show” feature.
(More pictures have and will be added to this reunion).
Unfortunately we don’t have the names. Do you?
If you have pictures of your reunions that you would like to have posted, get in touch with the webmasters. For new entries we will need the names and classes of those pictured. We are thinking of adding
slide shows to the individual class directories, showing pictures of you and your family today,
along with short bios.  Your feedback on this feature will be appreciated.

January 29, 2006:  Added: A forums page which links to dedicated PHS forums that we’re
maintaining on the server (and links back to the regular pages here.
Also filled in the Fallen Heroes section and made some minor tweaks to the site style
(including a “last updated” notation on each page...which may or may not work.)
