The webmasters remind you that you can go to the PHS Forums link
(on the left) and leave messages
as an additional method to get out the word.

The Peekskill High Alumni webmasters will be happy to
post class announcements on this page.
Please e-mail us with any announcement that you would like to
see displayed here.
We hope you will contact the people who are
working hard to make these events a success

and continue to tell your classmates about this PHS Web Site -
the more people who know about it - the better it will become.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And Please -- Keep us informed as to how successful your reunion was.
We would welcome any pictures with names, printed programs, and/or email lists
that we can add to your Class Directory pages
The Class of 1949 held a successful 60th reunion in 2009
with 83 grads attending.
We would like to receive pictures and a program.
If any attendees have any material or comments we welcome them.
In addition the class was interested and generous enough to
collect and send $150 to us in order to help with our
costs of publication and upkeep of these Alumni Pages
We are humbled and most grateful for your support
 PHS Class of 1969 ~~ 41st  Reunion
Organized by Betsy Rodino, Kathi DeChristopher and Connie Blaze
As most of you already know, we have been planning a reunion and
it is open to the classes of 1967, 1968, 1970 and Ladycliff friends.
It has taken us quite a few months to get in touch with people.
We have asked for a commitment by sending in a $20.00 per person deposit
which will allow us to make deposits and get this reunion going.
Well guess what?
The response has been really good and we have collected $2000.00
so THE REUNION IS ON.
Date of the Reunion:   Saturday, October 2, 2010 (Yes I said 2010)
Location:     Holiday Inn, Route 9, Fishkill, NY  ~~~~~ Time:   7:00 pm to Midnight
Music by:    Ricardo Productions (the same deejay we used in 1999)
Cost per person:    $65.00 (Only $5.00 more than cost in 1999)
Watch for updates as we make more plans such as:
  Where to party the night before:
  Hotels and phone number:       Menu:   Who is attending:
We will start actively asking for money in April and we have to have all money in no later than August 31, 2010
so that we have time to get a bank check and get it to the Holiday Inn.
We will not be able to pay at the door so you must pay ahead of time.
If you haven’t already done so, please send in your deposit of $20.00 per person.
Checks should be made payable to
Betsy Rodino and mailed to 558 Redford Place, Rolesville, NC 27571.
 Please feel free to contact any of us with any questions or suggestions.
==================================================
Due to the fun we all had at our 35th reunion, last year, suggestions have
been made about having some type of regular, perhaps monthly, get
togethers. The thought is to just meet at one of the local diners. No
formal invitations, just, if you're in the area, stop by.
If anyone is interested, contact:
Debbie Volpe, deborah.volpe@basf.com or
debvolpe@aol.com .
================================================
Please send all details of Reunions that are being planned,
and afterwards don't forget to send an email
with details of your special event,
including a copy of the program and email addresses
and some good closeup pictures will be appreciated.
Or if you create your own slide show on line - let us know and we will link to it
 THE CLASS REUNION
I'll never forget, the first time we met;
We tried so hard to impress.
We drove fancy cars, smoked big cigars,
And wore our most elegant dress.
It was quite an affair; the whole class was there.
It was held at a fancy hotel
We wined, and we dined, and we acted refined,
And everyone thought it was swell.
The men all conversed about who had been first,
to achieve great fortune and fame.
Their spouses described their fine houses,
And how beautiful their children became.
The homecoming queen, who once had been lean,
Now weighed in at one-ninety-six.
The jocks who were there had all lost all their hair,
And the cheerleaders could no longer do kicks.
No one had heard about the class nerd
Who guided a craft to the moon;
Or poor little Jane, who's always been plain;
She married a shipping tycoon.
The boy we'd decreed "most apt to succeed"
Was serving ten years in the pen,
While the one voted "least" was now a priest;
Just shows you can be wrong now and then.
They awarded a prize to one of the guys,
Who seemed to have aged the least.
Another was given to the grad who had driven,
The farthest to attend the feast.
They took a class picture, a curious mixture
Of beehives, crew cuts and wide ties.
Tall, short, or skinny, the style was the mini;
You never saw so many thighs.
At our next get-together, no one cared whether
They impressed their classmates or not.
The mood was informal, a whole lot more normal;
By this time we'd all gone to pot.
It was held out-of-doors, at the sunny lake shores;
We ate hamburgers, coleslaw, and beans.
Then most of us lay, around in the shade,
In our comfortable T-shirts and jeans.
By the fortieth year, it was abundantly clear,
We were definitely over the hill.
Those who weren't dead had to crawl out of bed,
And be home in time for their pill.
And now I can't wait; they've set the date;
Our fiftieth is coming, I'm told.
It should be a ball, they've rented a hall,
At Shady Pines Home for the old.
Repairs have been made, to my new hearing aid;
I’ve bought a new wig and glass eye,
And my pacemaker's turned up to high.
My wheelchair is oiled, and my teeth have been boiled;
I'm feeling quite hearty, and I'm ready to party
I'm gonna dance 'til dawn's early light.
It'll be lots of fun;
But I just hope that there's one other one,
who can make it with me that night.
