Former Peekskill resident, Denis W. Flood has published his novel which graphically depicts the Viet Nam War and the combat death of a Marine soldier.

What makes this story of special interest is the flashbacks and interwoven threads with Peekskill as the background home of fictional Corporal Jackie Carroll.
